The John Mitchell road haulage fleet consists of approximately 110 vehicles and 230 trailers. We have around 95 tractor units (predominantly MAN TGX 440 horsepower 6X2s) all of which are less than five years old and capable of operating at 44 tonne gross.
Our modern extensive trailer fleet comprises of curtainsiders, flatbeds and skeletals (including over 140 sliders for container operations) all of which are on air suspension and also suited for 44 tonne, maximum weight operations.
Dry bulk operations are catered for via our powder tanks complement. A number of vehicles and trailers are fitted with tipping and discharge equipment.
The fleet of 15 rigid vehicles are fitted with flat bed or curtainside type bodies and some feature tail lifts and demountable bodies, in addition to lorry mounted cranes.
